ChatGPT prompts for pressure washing businesses (2026)

Pressure washing shops write all day: house-wash quotes, driveway scopes, weather delay texts, review replies, HOA pitches and notes for the next crew. The free ChatGPT tier handles most of it with good prompts. Copy these, fill in the brackets, and always read the output before you send it.
Tip: start each chat with a short "about my business" note (soft wash vs high pressure, residential or commercial, towns you cover, deposit policy, tone). Do not paste customer addresses with gate codes, alarm codes or payment details. Never ask AI for chemical mix ratios or PSI settings — those stay in your training and on the truck.
1. Quotes and scope language
- Notes to estimate: "Turn these notes into a clear pressure washing estimate for a homeowner: [notes]. Explain the work in plain English, list surfaces included (siding, driveway, patio, sidewalk, gutters), whether we use soft wash or high pressure where it applies, plant protection, what is not included (window glass, roofs if separate, oil stains that may need more than one pass), trip fee if any, and that the quote is valid for 14 days. Under 220 words."
- House wash packages: "Create three house-wash options using these prices: [prices]. Option A: single-story soft wash. Option B: two-story soft wash. Option C: whole-house plus driveway. List what is included and excluded for each. Keep it easy to choose. Under 180 words."
- Soft wash vs high pressure: "Write a short, calm explanation of when we soft-wash siding vs when high pressure is appropriate for concrete, based on: [notes]. No scare tactics, no invented PSI numbers. Under 120 words."
- Driveway / concrete add-on: "Add a short option block for cleaning [driveway / patio / sidewalk / dumpster pad] at $[price] to this house-wash quote: [quote text]. Note that heavy oil may need more than one pass. Keep the same tone."
- Roof soft wash (only if you offer it): "Rewrite these notes into a plain-English roof soft-wash proposal: [notes]. Cover method, plant protection, what is excluded, insurance note placeholder and validity. Do not invent warranties or chemical names. Under 200 words."
- Commercial / fleet bid: "Write a short proposal for pressure washing a [storefront / fleet of N vehicles / dumpster pads / parking lot] on [frequency]. Include scope, after-hours access note, insurance placeholder and price $[price]. Under 220 words."
- Price objection: "Write a polite reply to a customer who says our quote is higher than another washer. Explain what is included (soft wash where needed, plant protection, insured crew, weather reschedule policy) without bashing competitors. Under 100 words."
Send finished quotes from Jobber or Housecall Pro so customers can approve online. ChatGPT is for the wording, not the price book or chemical chart.
2. Customer texts on the day
- Confirm booking: "Write a short text confirming pressure washing on [day] between [window]. Ask them to move cars off the driveway, secure pets, and unlock any gate we need. Reply C to confirm. Under 45 words."
- On my way: "Write a friendly text from a tech named [name] saying they are about [X] minutes out for a [house wash / driveway] job in [general area, not full street]. Under 30 words."
- Rain delay / reschedule: "Write a calm weather-delay text saying we need to move their [job] because of [rain / high wind / freeze]. Offer [two new day options] and ask them to reply with a preference. Under 50 words."
- Running late: "Write an apologetic text saying I am running about [X] minutes late because the previous house wash ran long, and offer to reschedule if that does not work."
- Job done / next steps: "Write a short wrap-up text after finishing [job]: what was done, one care tip (keep sprinklers off plants we protected for [X] hours / cars can return after dry), and when they should expect the invoice. Under 60 words."
3. Follow-ups that win the job
- Estimate follow-up: "Write a two-sentence text following up on a pressure washing estimate I sent [X] days ago for [house wash / driveway]. Friendly, no pressure, mention an open slot on [day]."
- Last follow-up: "Write a final follow-up email for an unanswered pressure washing quote. Mention openings on [days] and offer to hold a slot until [date]."
- Seasonal win-back: "Write a friendly email to past customers we have not washed for in [X] months, with a [offer] if they book by [date]. Under 120 words."
- Neighbor / referral ask: "Write a short text thanking a customer after [job] and asking them to share our name with a neighbor who needs a house or driveway wash. Under 40 words."
4. Google review replies
- Positive review: "Reply to this 5-star Google review for my pressure washing business: [review]. Thank them by first name, mention the job type (house wash, driveway, commercial), under 50 words, no emojis."
- Negative review: "Reply to this negative review about water spots, noise or a plant that looked stressed: [review]. Stay calm, acknowledge the issue, do not argue or share private address details, and invite them to call so we can make it right. Under 80 words."
- Review request: "Write a short text asking a customer for a Google review after I finished their [job] today. Include a link placeholder, under 40 words."

5. Marketing that fits pressure washing
- Season calendar: "Make a 12-month marketing calendar for a pressure washing business in [region]. For each month, list what to promote (spring pollen house washes, HOA deadlines, pre-holiday curb appeal, freeze-season pause, fleet renewals, dumpster-pad contracts, driveway oil specials) and one post idea. Stay practical, no fear-mongering."
- Spring house-wash email: "Write a short email announcing spring house and driveway washes for [offer], with a booking link placeholder and a deadline of [date]. Under 120 words."
- HOA / property manager pitch: "Write a short email to HOA boards and property managers offering preferred pricing for house washes, sidewalks and dumpster pads, with a booking phone placeholder. Under 120 words."
- Door hanger / flyer: "Write door hanger copy for [house soft wash / driveway clean] in [town]. Headline, three bullets, offer, CTA. Under 60 words. No scare tactics."
- Before/after caption: "Write five short Facebook captions for pressure washing photos: siding soft wash, driveway, sidewalk, gutter brightening, fleet wash (no addresses or gate codes visible)."
Drop the copy into Canva for flyers and posts, and send emails with Mailchimp.
6. Crew notes and handoffs
- Clean up job notes: "Rewrite these rough notes into clear job notes for the customer record: [notes]. Sections: surfaces washed, method (soft wash / high pressure), plant protection done, issues found, recommendations, follow-up needed. Strip any gate codes."
- Job checklist: "Create a short on-site checklist for a residential house wash: protect plants, cover outlets if needed, soft-wash siding, rinse, concrete if booked, walk-around with customer, payment. Bullet points a tech can check off."
- Expectation set (stain / oil): "Turn these notes into a polite message explaining a stain or oil mark that may not fully lift in one pass: [notes]. Set honest expectations and offer next steps. Under 100 words."
- Translate: "Translate this crew checklist into Spanish in simple, clear language: [checklist]."
7. Website and Google listing
- "Write a 300-word service page for [service, e.g. house soft wash / driveway pressure washing / commercial fleet wash / roof soft wash] in [town], with a short FAQ. Only use these facts: [facts]. No invented chemical names or PSI claims."
- "Write a Google Business Profile description for my pressure washing business under 750 characters. Services: [list]. Areas: [towns]. Mention soft wash or roof work only if I provide it in the facts."
Before you rely on AI writing
- Check every price, inclusion, weather policy and method claim before it goes out. AI will invent details.
- Do not let AI invent PSI ratings, chemical mixes, roof warranties or "safe for all surfaces" claims. Soft wash and high pressure are different jobs — say which you mean.
- Do not paste gate codes, alarm codes or card details into ChatGPT.
- Stay inside your insurance, local runoff rules and any roof or soft-wash training you actually hold. AI copy is not a chemical mix guide or a ladder safety plan.
- If booking calls ring while you are on a ladder, prompts will not catch them. See our AI receptionist guide.
